Candidate Filing for April 2026 Election

Candidate filing for the April 2026 Municipal Election will be open from December 9, 2025, through December 30, 2025. 

The City of Branson officials whose terms expire in 2026 are:

• Marshall Howden, Alderman, Ward 1
• Glenn Schulz, Alderman, Ward 2
• Ralph LeBlanc, Alderman, Ward 3

Residents who wish to participate in the April election must be registered to vote by March 11, 2026.

Branson Senior Austin Matthews Receives Perfect ACT Score

Branson High School Senior Achieves Perfect ACT Superscore

Branson High School senior Austin Matthews has achieved a perfect ACT superscore of 36 following his October test. A superscore is achieved by averaging the highest scores from each ACT test section across multiple test attempts. Dixie Bailey, Branson High School senior counselor who has been with the district for 18 years, said she could not recall another student reaching this milestone during her tenure. College of the Ozarks Joins Historic 2026 National Bible Event

College of the Ozarks President Dr. Brad Johnson will join America Reads the Bible, a national Scripture-reading event set for April 19–25, 2026, at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. Leaders from ministry, business, and government will read the Bible aloud as part of the lead-up to America’s 250th anniversary. Johnson, scheduled to read on April 21, said the event reflects the College’s belief that faith undergirds character and community.  To learn more, click below.
