For more than 30 years, the Lakes Area Leadership Academy—established in 1992 by the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce—has been developing professionals to take on greater leadership roles in the community and beyond. Each year, participants engage in a nine-month program exploring topics such as marketing, tourism, government policy, and economic development. The Class of 2025 Graduation Celebration will honor this year’s graduates for their dedication, growth, and commitment to shaping Branson’s future as they join a proud network of local leaders continuing the tradition of excellence and service. Executive Director John Baltes was surprised with the College of the Ozarks "Reflecting Christlike Character Award" at the organization's monthly board meeting. Dr. Brad Johnson and Dr. Sue Head presented the well-deserved and much-appreciated honor to our leader, who has touched the hearts of countless Ozark Mountain Country residents, visitors, and employees -- continuing a 120-year-old legacy of serving with love.
