Black Tie Gala Tables Now Available

The Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and CVB’s premier event, the Black Tie Gala is Friday, December 8 at the Branson Convention Center. This evening is dedicated to honoring the community and highlighting local leaders who have made a lasting impact on the region. Inaugural Customer Advisory Board Meeting

The Branson Chamber/CVB sales team hosted a full week of in-market events beginning with Branson’s first inaugural meetings and conventions Customer Advisory Board. The CAB boasted an impressive lineup of members including meeting buyers, entrepreneurs, executives and local stakeholders.

Who Will be Honored at the 2023 Black Tie Gala?

The Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and CVB is now accepting nominations for the 2023 Black Tie Awards. The awards are presented each year at the Black Tie Gala, honoring six community members who have enriched the lives of others and furthered Branson’s mission of creating lifelong memories for visitors. 

For the third consecutive year, the awards will be sponsored by Ozark Mountain Legacy, the Silver Dollar City Foundation, and Myer Hotels. Vice President of Member Engagement, Grant Sloan, says this year’s sponsors embody the same values as the awards themselves, making it a perfect match. October 17 is Jim Stafford Day

One of Branson’s most famous entertainers is being honored by the city where he performed for more than 30 years. Branson Mayor Larry Milton declared Tuesday, October 17, 2023 as “Jim Stafford Day” to honor his long career in Branson. While prominent in the 1970s for his recordings "Spiders & Snakes," "Swamp Witch," "Under the Scotsman's Kilt," "My Girl Bill," and "Wildwood Weed," Stafford headlined at his own theatre from 1990 to 2020.

"Breaking the Silence" Patriotic Play

Beginning October 17, College of the Ozarks will present its annual, free, patriotic play. This year’s play is “Breaking the Silence: Stories of Vietnam Veterans,” and it tells the stories of five heroes, all who have a connection to the College. The showing of a patriotic play is a fall tradition at College of the Ozarks. Performances take place in the Royal Oak Forum, located in The Keeter Center, and are free and open to the public. Tickets are not required; seating is first-come, first-served.

Vote Yes November 7 to Renew the TCED Tax

On November 7, voters in Stone and Taney Counties will have the opportunity to VOTE YES to RENEW the Tourism Community Enhancement District tax (also known as the TCED). This 1% funding stream is dedicated to marketing the Branson/Lakes Area and has helped attract millions of additional visitors since its inception in 2005. The TCED has increased our community’s exposure across the United States (and the world), while locally improving the lives of residents.
